Quality, transparency, and batches

Quality between 80 and 90 usually balances sharpness and size for photos. For icons or text-heavy screenshots, raise quality a bit or compare visually. JPG output has no alpha: if you start from a transparent PNG, fill with white, black, or a custom color.

You can queue several images and convert them in series—handy for small marketing or front-end batches. For huge files, lower max width before encoding: fewer pixels, smaller files, faster conversion.

Are images uploaded to a server?

No. Conversion runs in your browser. SMALLIMG does not need you to send the file to the cloud to get WebP.

Which input formats do you accept?

JPG (JPEG), PNG, and WebP. Other formats are not in this flow yet.

Does WebP work in every browser?

Current desktop and mobile browsers support it. If you must deliver to a very old environment, also export JPG as a fallback.

Can I convert multiple images at once?
